A post-Scrum project tool
Build what your customers want. Faster.
Intent connects every piece of work to a real customer's problem. AI drafts the specs. Git tracks the progress. You make the calls — and you make them faster because you know you're building the right thing.
01 — The shift
From serving the tool to being served by it.
Scrum tools optimise for managing work. Intent optimises for helping humans make good decisions for customers. Same job — a fundamentally different posture.
Jira was built for a world where humans wrote every line of code. In an AI world, the bottleneck has flipped — the work is no longer typing, it's judgment. Intent is built for that world.
- 01You serve the tool→The tool serves you
- 02Forms, dropdowns, fields→Intent expressed, the tool infers the rest
- 03Building what the backlog says→Building what the customer needs
- 04Manual triage and grooming→AI drafts, you curate
- 05Tasks, tickets, throughput→Customers, problems, outcomes
- 06“What should I work on?”→“Is this the right thing to build?”
02 — Principles
Four ideas the product is built around.
Customer voice on every surface
No work exists without a link to a real person’s problem. Real names, real quotes — not invented personas.
AI does the mechanical. Humans do the meaningful.
AI drafts specs, summarises, infers state. Humans decide what’s worth building and whether it’s good enough for the customer.
State is inferred from git
Status updates come from branches, PRs, and merges — not from a human remembering to drag a card.
Quiet by default
The tool protects your attention. It interrupts only when a human needs another human’s judgment.
03 — Get in touch
If this resonates, we’d like to hear from you.
Intent is built solo, in the open, for solo founders and small teams. Access is gated while we dogfood. If you want to ship what your customers actually need, we’d like to talk.
